Arizona Cardinals Dealing With More Injuries

It wouldn’t be another Arizona Cardinals game without more injuries to deal with

Lost in the euphoria of another Arizona Cardinals victory, a 17-14 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, was the fact the Cardinals are dealing with more injuries once again.  Just another Sunday in Arizona.

More from Cardinals News

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie had the worst looking injury on Sunday.  He was carted off in the second half of the game and appeared to injure his ankle in some manner.  After the game though it sounded like it wasn’t severe.  Coach Bruce Arians said that Cromartie’s injury is a tendon issue but he did not tear his Achilles as initially feared.  General manager Steve Keim re-iterated that message this morning on Arizona Sports 98.7.

The Cardinals also saw linebacker Matt Shaughnessy injure his shoulder and left the game.  However this morning Keim said he was fine and they are not worried about him.  That’s great news considering he just returned from Injured Reserve.

The Cardinals also had an injured offensive lineman.  He’s a big one too.  Jared Veldheer was apparently playing injured and now they have a short week to work with before they face the St. Louis Rams on Thursday night.

Of course the biggest loss was a guy already out of the game without a timetable for return.  Well, they got their timetable after the game.  It will be next season for running back Andre Ellington.  He is out for the season after suffering a sports hernia above his hip-pointer he suffered in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons last week.
