Arizona Cardinals Sending Three Players To The Pro Bowl

They may have had a lot of injuries but the Arizona Cardinals were still able to send three players, all from defense, to the Pro Bowl

The 2015 Pro Bowl participants were announced on Tuesday night and surprisingly the Arizona Cardinals were able to get three players into the game, to be played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale on January 25th.  This will be the first Pro Bowl played in Arizona.

So who got in?  Cornerback and special teams specialist Justin Bethel got in.  That should have come as no shock to Cardinals fans.  Also getting in was defensive end Calais Campbell.  Campbell has been a force on the defensive line.  Campbell has seven sacks this season but could have a whole lot more if not for quarterbacks just eluding his grasp.  He also has 43 tackles.

The third person in the group is cornerback Patrick Peterson.  His inclusion is a little surprising.  Most would consider this a subpar season for him.  His numbers are alright.  He has 48 tackles and three interceptions.  He also has one sack.  He returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown.  It was the first interception return for a touchdown this season.  He accomplished that against the St. Louis Rams back in their meeting in Glendale in November.

Of course if all goes right in the world, none of those three would like to be playing on their home field on the 25th.  If they aren’t playing there on the 25th, that means they would be preparing to play on that field a week later on February 1st in the Super Bowl.  Super Bowl participants can not participate in the Pro Bowl.
