5. 71 yards for the lead

The Cardinals, now led by Drew Stanton, looked in danger of falling apart against an inferior New York Giants team in Week 2. Trailing 14-13 an the beginning of the fourth quarter, it was anyone’s game to win. The Cardinals made a defensive stand forcing a punt.

Ted Ginn Jr.’s time returning punts for the Cardinals was not always a great one. He averaged 10.6 yards per punt return, and generally was not the spark to special teams Arizona hoped he would be. On this play, however, he shined as potentially the game winner for the men in red,

Ginn  fielded the low punt and took an immediate hit. He absorbed the contact, stayed up, found a seam, and hit the accelerator. No Giants player could touch him as he took it 71 yards to give the Cards the lead, which they held onto for the victory.
