2. Hopefully one pick six of many
Just after the aforementioned touchdown and dance, Patrick Peterson made his big play of the year. Rams QB Austin Davis saw Kenny Britt on a crossing route and let it fly. The ball slipped out of Britt’s hands and was up in the air.
Enter Peterson who, from behind Britt, leaped in the air and used his left hand to hit the ball to himself. He got his feet, let the ball fall into his hands, and then took it back for a pick six.
Not only was this his first career pick six, it was a crazy athletic play that was the brightest spot for what was not an ideal season for #21. That coupled with the fact that it gave the Cardiinals the comfortable lead they needed to close out the Rams, and there’s only one play that can beat it.
