Arizona Cardinals Tuesday Free Agency Updates
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals were linked to a number of players but only one official deal completed
Sean Weatherspoon? Corey Peters? Mike Iupati? Yes, they are all going to be Arizona Cardinals but none of them are officially as of Tuesday evening. The only official deal was with linebacker Lamarr Woodley. Several other names have been linked to the Cardinals as well. Also news has surfaced on a couple of Cardinals free agents as well.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that the other players deals aren’t officially done. Physicals need to be passed and final numbers hashed out, although Iupati’s deal has been widely reported as being for five years for $40 million with $22.5 million of that guaranteed.
The other names linked? Linebacker Brian Orakpo is planning a visit on Wednesday. Also heard center A.Q. Shipley and defensive end Cory Redding will visit on Wednesday. Linebacker Nate Irving will also visit sometime this week.
If you want running back DeMarco Murray, forget it. Per sources, the Arizona Cardinals are not interested. There have not been another other running backs linked to Arizona at this point in terms of visits. This doesn’t mean they won’t just nothing to report at this time.
As for the Cardinals free agents, two of them were in the news on Tuesday. The first one, cornerback Antonio Cromartie, still lists the Cardinals as an option but I wouldn’t count on it. Rumors for the past couple of months have been he wants to return to the New York Jets. The Jets however signed cornerback Darelle Revis on Tuesday to a huge contract. However this does not preclude the Jets from still attempting to bring Cromartie back.
The other Cardinals free agent making news is tackle Dan Williams. He is scheduled to make a visit to the Oakland Raiders. He is not expected to return to the Cardinals.
So what do Cardinals fans think of what has transpired so far in free agency? A lot of different opinions.
Well bad news, the Cardinals aren’t getting Murray and there is no new news on the Adrian Peterson front.
It’s funny but there seems to be some truth to that. Woodley has spent most of his career as a Pittsburgh Steeler.
