The Arizona Cardinals have quite a few headlines for today. Check out the latest news surrounding the team.

Carson Palmer back on the field with the startersKyle Odegard of AZCardinals.com

"Monday was an easy day for Palmer to soak in the here and now. The Cardinals began Phase II of their offseason workout program, which allowed the players to take the field and run plays for the first time. Palmer was right in the mix, participating with the first-team offense in all of the drills. He not only handed the ball off to the running backs, but zipped short, intermediate and deep throws to his receivers. While the action wasn’t close to replicating game-like conditions, Palmer said joining the rest of the team on the field was a big mental boost after missing the last eight games of the 2014 season."

J.J. Nelson is the definition of speedAdam Green of Arizona Sports

"It’s difficult not to compare Nelson to John Brown, whom the Cardinals selected in the third round of last year’s draft. Both are on the smaller side for receivers, but each has blazing speed.Arians said Nelson reminds him of Emmanuel Sanders, who he coached in Pittsburgh and is currently with the Denver Broncos, but added Sanders does not have the kind of speed his rookie does."

Former ASU QB Taylor Kelly to attend minicampDoug Haller of azcentral.com

"Former Arizona State quarterback Taylor Kelly has been invited to attend this weekend’s Cardinals rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.Kelly didn’t get selected in last week’s NFL draft and didn’t get picked up as a free agent. A three-year starter, he finished his college career as one of the more productive quarterbacks in ASU history. He set a career mark in total offensive yards with 10,223. He also finished third in career touchdown passes (79) and fourth in passing yards (8,819)."

Keim likes what he sees from Rodney GunterAdam Green of Arizona Sports

"“In this business enough people talk that occasionally you get enough intel that tells you where a guy is going to potentially go, and I had a little birdy tell me where he was going to go if we didn’t take him,” Cardinals GM Steve Keim said of trading up. “And I got a call that confirmed that from the GM afterwards. I won’t name any names, but I was glad that we did what we did.“The kid has tremendous upside. A lot of fans are probably going to say, ‘Who is Rodney Gunter?’ I have a pretty strong conviction, Coach (Bruce Arians) has pretty strong conviction, that in the next couple years fans are going to know real well who Rodney Gunter is.”"
