Player profile of WR Jaron Brown as Arizona Cardinals training camp starts July 31st

As we prepare for Arizona Cardinals training camp reporting date of July 31st, it is time for our annual look at the roster player by player.  I look at what they’ve done, where they are now and how I project each player’s status at the end of camp.

We go from A to Z and continue with WR Jaron Brown.  Brown, out of Clemson, is going into his third season with the Cardinals.

2014 season: Brown played in all 16 games and started two of them for the Cardinals last season.  With that in mind his production was not what I or many other Cardinals fans had hoped for.  Many will remember his dropped touchdown pass in the end zone against the Seattle Seahawks that would have put the Cardinals right back in the game in the second half.  Unfortunately because he only had 22 receptions last season, it will be that one miss that many will remember.

2015 season projection:  If I were Brown, I’d be worried about not making the final roster.  I know everyone, including myself, wants to see him succeed.  When he is on, he’s on.  He can make some amazing grabs.  He’s got to find a way to get open more and make the most of his time on the field.  He is returning from an injury but he is now close to being all the way back.  Right now, he’s looking at a number four receiver spot at best.  His work is cut out for him.

I’ve seen a couple of people predict huge things from him this season.  I hope that ends up being true.  I need to see it transpire on the field though.  As you can see from one of the tweets above someone has him listed as a sleeper this season.  I will give the fact that not much is said about Brown and sometimes that can be a good thing in the NFL.
