So much controversy surrounded the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady this offseason. It isn’t resolved yet. He could still be facing a four-game suspension for his role in deflategate. That could make a big difference in whether the Patriots win the division or not but I think they make the playoffs regardless.
The Patriots usually don’t allow distractions affect how they play. Just when people think they are about to be down, like last season after getting whipped by the Chiefs on Monday Night Football, they turn around and just starting beating up on others themselves. They ran away with the AFC East and found themselves with a Super Bowl Championship once again.
