Arizona Cardinals from A to Z: Edwin Jackson
By Scott Allen

Player profile of ILB Edwin Jackson as Arizona Cardinals training camp starts July 31st
As we prepare for Arizona Cardinals training camp reporting date of July 31st, it is time for our annual look at the roster player by player. I look at what they’ve done, where they are now and how I project each player’s status at the end of camp.
We go from A to Z and continue with ILB Edwin Jackson. Jackson is a rookie from Georgia Southern.
2014 season: Jackson was a Sun Belt Conference First-Team selection with the Georgia Southern Eagles. He played in 13 games for the Eagles and had 100 tackles one intereception and one forced fumble. The 100 tackles placed him in the top-four of the Sun Belt Conference.
2015 season projection: He will be facing some stiff competition. There is a lot of depth in camp at the inside linebacker position. It may end up proving to be a difficult task to make the final roster but he is another guy I give a chance to make the practice squad.

There is no doubt Jackson is a good player. The question is can he fit into an NFL role at linebacker. Georgia Southern is amongst the best that the FCS has to offer in NCAA football but this is still the NFL. I look forward to seeing what he can offer this preseason. With question marks on other linebackers you have to give this guy a shot.
