Arizona Cardinals from A to Z: Mike Leach
By Scott Allen

Player profile of LS Mike Leach as Arizona Cardinals training camp starts July 31st
As we prepare for Arizona Cardinals training camp reporting date of July 31st, it is time for our annual look at the roster player by player. I look at what they’ve done, where they are now and how I project each player’s status at the end of camp.
We go from A to Z and continue with LS Mike Leach. Leach enters his 16th season in the NFL, seventh with the Cardinals.
2014 season: Leach again played in all 16 games last season. He did manage to get three tackles while on special teams last season.
2015 season projection: Leach is the man, the only man on the roster that can do his job properly. As long as he stays healthy, the job is his until the day he retires.

Cardinals re-signed LS Mike Leach, who was my HS teammate, per @AdamSchefter. I'm not officially old until Leach retires.

That last tweet I think says it all. I am not officially old until Mike Leach retires. At this rate, maybe he never retires? Well, Cardinals fans can only hope anyway. He will turn 39 in October. However being a long snapper certainly allowed him to continue to play at that age and would not be surprised for him to play maybe a couple more seasons before he hangs it up for good. He played for seven seasons with the Denver Broncos after spending his first two NFL seasons with the Tennessee Titans.
