Arizona Cardinals from A to Z: Gabe Martin
By Scott Allen

Player profile of ILB Gabe Martin as Arizona Cardinals training camp starts July 31st
As we prepare for Arizona Cardinals training camp reporting date of July 31st, it is time for our annual look at the roster player by player. I look at what they’ve done, where they are now and how I project each player’s status at the end of camp.
We go from A to Z and continue with ILB Gabe Martin. Martin is an undrafted rookie out of Bowling Green University.
2014 season: Martin had 115 tackles in 14 games started for Bowling Green. He was named to the second team All-MAC. Martin also had two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
2015 season projection: Martin will get his chances in preseason and training camp. He’s got a long way to go to make the final roster though. His numbers in college are good but how does that translate to the NFL. He will be one of the undrafted free agents to keep an eye on.
The Arizona Cardinals signed Bowling Green OLB Gabe Martin as an undrafted free agent. He had a pre-draft top 30 visit with Dallas Cowboys.

Intrigued by Gabe Martin (Bowling Green LB). Twitchy athlete who finds gaps and make plays behind LOS. Hits through target. ST and depth WLB

Martin was thought highly of during the draft process but ultimately never got drafted. It would be interesting to see why the Dallas Cowboys passed on him after he visited them in pre-draft workouts. He hits people hard and can certainly hold his opponent for losses. Of his 115 tackles last season, 18 were for losses. Can he bring that type of action to the Cardinals. If he does then I give him a decent shot at impressing and staying with the Cardinals in one fashion or another.
