Arizona Cardinals: Jaron Brown has a nice day
By Scott Allen
Arizona Cardinals receiver Jaron Brown had the best day amongst the receivers on Monday
Earlier today I talked about the way Arizona Cardinals receivers were turning up roses over the weekend after the first two practices of training camp. There were some good plays made by a number of receivers on Monday but probably not as many and pretty as Jaron Brown made.
Brown made a couple good grabs over the weekend but he seemed to be catching everything on Monday. He will need a lot of more of what we saw out at University of Phoenix Stadium today in order to win a job over receivers J.J. Nelson and Brittan Golden.
Brown caught a nice pass in the back corner of the end zone. In order to make the play, he had to turn completely around while still running backwards. The catch was money. He also made a huge grab down the field right on the sidelines like it was nothing. I know I mentioned him at least three times in tweets this afternoon from the stadium.
Brown dropped an end zone pass over the weekend but he wasn’t about to let that happen again. It’s always a good sign when a guy like Larry Fitzgerald is going out of his way to congratulate you on a catch. We will need to see more of that in the coming days and weeks. I’m looking forward to see it because before today I had him on the bubble for making the final 53-man roster.
