20. Edgerrin James
After seven dominating seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, one could argue that James was the first true NFL star to sign a big-time free-agent contract with the Cardinals since their move to the desert. Sure, the Cards had other free agents who panned out but no one was like James. He ended up playing three seasons in Arizona from 2006-2009 and rushed 794 times for 2,895 yards and 16 touchdowns.
19. Neil Lomax
He only played one season in Arizona in 1988 before a hip injury derailed his career for good. He had a really good season in Arizona plus seven seasons in St. Louis before that. During the 1988 season, he passed for 3,385 yards and 20 touchdowns, igniting an offense that was in first place in the NFC East just 11 games into their inaugural season. Unfortunately his season would not be playoff bound because of his hip and the Cards lost their last five games, proving just how valuable he was when he was healthy.
18. Eric Hill
Hill played nine seasons in Arizona from 1998-1996. He only had nine career sacks as a linebacker but amassed 1,044 tackles over his 11 NFL seasons.
17. Karlos Dansby
Dansby had two stints with the Cardinals for a total of seven seasons. The first six were from 2004-2009 before he left as a free agent for the Miami Dolphins. He then played for the Cardinals again in 2013 before leaving once again for the Cleveland Browns in 2014. He had 32 sacks in those seven seasons including 6.5 of them to go along with four interceptions in 2013 reminding people that Dansby was still a force in this league.
16. Ken Harvey
Harvey played his first six seasons in the NFL from 1991-1996 for the Cardinals. He had 47.5 sacks as a linebacker during that time. He continued to garner high sack totals with the Washington Redskins after he left for his final five NFL seasons. He finished his career with 89 sacks.
