The Arizona Cardinals vs Chicago Bears inactives have been announced
The Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears have announced their inactives ahead of Sunday’s matchup in the Windy City of Chicago. Kick off is at 10:00 a.m.
No big surprises hit the list this week. Rookie tackle D.J. Humphries will not play again and we already knew running back Andre Ellington was out. He didn’t even make the trip to Chicago.
Cardinals inactives: QB Matt Barkley, NT Xavier Williams, WR Brittan Golden, T D.J. Humphries, RB Andre Ellington, LB Shaq Riddick, G Mike Iupati
Hopefully Williams and Humphries play themselves into some playing time down the road. It is still disappointing their first round pick isn’t active.
The Chicago Bears biggest inactive news comes from their offense. Receiver Alshon Jeffery will not play on Sunday. He experienced an issue with his hamstring in practice this week. He had been expected to miss Sunday’s game.
Bears inactives: WR Alshon Jeffery, RB Ka’Deem Carey, DT Ego Ferguson, CB Tracy Porter, LB Jonathan Bostic, C Hroniss Grasu, T Tayo Fabuluje
With both teams missing big playmakers on offense it will be interesting to see how each team can adjust. I think the Cardinals can overcome the loss of Ellington easier than the Bears can with Jeffery. The Cardinals signed running back Kerwynn Williams to the 53-man roster on Saturday to fill the void left by Ellington.
