Sunday morning bird seed: Arizona Cardinals vs. Detroit Lions
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals face the Detroit Lions at 1:05 p.m. today at Ford Field in Detroit
We are a little over two hours until kickoff as the Arizona Cardinals prepare to face the Detroit Lions in Detroit for the first time since 2009. The Cardinals have won the last three meetings, including a 14-6 win in Glendale last November.
We took a look around Twitter to see what people are saying about the Cardinals and the game today. It will be a rare late kickoff in the Eastern Time Zone.
The Cardinals arrived at Ford Field just a bit ago to prepare for the game.
The Cardinals will be playing an 0-4 Lions team that really doesn’t look like an 0-4 team but hasn’t been scoring points as of late. Fans would love to see the Cardinals defense take it to quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Lions offense.
But the excitement isn’t reserved for just fans. Other local organizations are getting into the act this morning.
Detroit Lions fans aren’t liking what they see so far from their team early on. I don’t know if I agree with everyone’s sentiments but here is a sample of what is on Twitter this morning from their side.
There are some believers out there too but a lot of negativity surrounding the team and its current situation. So, Cardinals fans, remember, someone always has it tougher out there. One loss last week was more of a wake up call rather than a real problem. Detroit is still going to be a tough go but just believe. It’s a long season my friends.
