Plenty of items to discuss after the Arizona Cardinals 42-17 victory Sunday

A lot can be said about Sunday’s Arizona Cardinals victory over the Detroit Lions.  Most of it is good too.  Not every takeaway from the game is a positive but they still outweigh the negatives.

These are the top five storylines coming out of the game on Sunday and going forward as the Cardinals prepare to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers.  The Cardinals arrived in West Virginia Sunday evening and will stay back east this week.

Andre Ellington returns

After missing the last three weeks with a non-contact injury against the New Orleans Saints in week one, Ellington returned on Sunday against the Lions.  He carried the ball just three times.  However it was his last carry that has everyone buzzing.

Ellington ran left, found a hold and ran the ball 63-yards down the sideline for his second touchdown of the season.  He went virtually untouched.  It was as if he never missed a beat.  Let’s hope he can continue to stay healthy now as part of that three-man rushing attack.
