Rashad Johnson loses his finger tip against the New Orleans Saints September 22, 2013

The Arizona Cardinals were 1-1 in Bruce Arians first season but already you could tell this was a team vastly different to the ones lead by former coach Ken Whisenhunt.  The Cardinals were still in the midst of finding their winning mentality under Arians.

One of the holdovers from the Whisenhunt era, cornerback Rashad Johnson, was to be a big part of the new era in Arizona.  Unfortunately in this blowout 31-7 loss to the Saints, Johnson would become more famous for what happened to him rather than what he accomplished on the field.

Johnson lost the tip of his middle finger during a play and didn’t even know it until he took his gloves off.  To this day he’s not even sure how it happened but to the best of his knowledge he thinks he got it caught in a facemask or something along those lines.

He even took a picture of his middle finger to show everyone.
