The Arizona Cardinals take on the Cleveland Browns at 11:00 a.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland
The Arizona Cardinals and the Cleveland Browns have each announced their inactives for Sunday’s game in Cleveland. For the Cardinals, receiver John Brown is active and will play against the Browns.
Coming into the game, Brown was announced as a game time decision. He is still nursing a hamstring injury.
Arizona Cardinals inactives:
QB Matt Barkley
TE Darren Fells
LB Shaq Riddick
T D.J. Humphries
G Earl Watford
NT Xavier Williams
LB Alex Okafor
While it is nice to see John Brown active, once again Alex Okafor is inactive. He returned to practice this week and the thought was he was close to being ready to go. I guess he wasn’t that close. As it is, this means he gets to rest this week and then the bye week and then should be fresh and ready to go on Sunday Night Football in two weeks against the Seattle Seahawks.
Cleveland Browns inactives:
QB Austin Davis
WR Andrew Hawkins
DB Jordan Poyer
DB Don Jones
LB Jayson DiManche
TE Rob Housler
TE E.J. Bibbs
The news here is that quarterback Josh McCown is active and will start on Sunday. However, watch to see how long he actually stays in the game. Any showing of ineffectiveness or if he gets hobbled, which has been known to happen a time or two this season, then you’ll get a look at backup quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Also active for the Browns will be receiver Dwyane Bowe. With Hawkins out, Bowe will be an important weapon for the Browns offense on Sunday. Also out as you will notice is former Cardinals tight end Rob Housler. It would have been fun to see him play against the Cardinals. For now, let’s celebrate John Brown playing for the Cardinals!
