Cardinals will be on the national showcase in back-to-back weeks

Good teams get to stay in the limelight for a little bit longer, and it may be a few more weeks before we know if the Arizona Cardinals (6-2) are a good team or a great team or an advantageous team, but whatever they are, they’ll be showing the nation in back to back weeks.

Coming out of the Week 9 bye (this week) the Cardinals head up to Seattle to face the 4-4 Seahawks who recently put the Cowboys in their rear-view mirror with a 13-12 win. Seattle has a bye as well so both teams will be rested and ready for a Week 10 match-up on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. This we knew.

What was just announced was the Week 11 match-up against the currently undefeated Bengals has been flexed to Sunday Night, from it’s previous 2:05PM MST start time, to also be on Sunday Night Football. So if you were sick of seeing the Cowboys, Giants, Patriots or Colts in every primetime slot, now you have a new team to add into the mix.

As Darren Urban puts it, “The Cardinals are only the seventh team to be featured on “Sunday Night Football” in back-to-back weeks since NBC got the broadcast in 2006. Most recently, that was the Philadelphia Eagles in the final two weeks of 2013.” That’s some great company and something that only great teams get to experience, or, opportunistic teams.

The Cardinals recently hosted ESPN’s Monday Night Football last week coming up on the winning side of a questionable tilt against the Baltimore Ravens. This will be the Bengals first regular season visit to University of Phoenix Stadium, having played the Cardinals in preseason once before, also on Sunday night.
