The Arizona Cardinals face the Seattle Seahawks at 6:30pm Sunday in Seattle
The Arizona Cardinals have two players they are still unsure about in their status for their huge Sunday Night Football tilt against the Seattle Seahawks. Center Lyle Sendlein and receiver John Brown were both limited on Friday and are officially questionable for Sunday night.
The Seahawks are banged up as well. Running back Marshawn Lynch did not practice Friday and is questionable and defensive tackle David King was limited Friday but is doubtful for Sunday.
As for Sendlein and Brown, I still give both a shot to play but as we saw a couple of weeks ago, Brown carried this same status into Cleveland. He was active but never saw the field. Part of that was he didn’t practice on Friday that week. He was limited on Friday.
Sendlein is still a question mark as well. If he can’t go then A.Q. Shipley would start in his place. Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said that both Brown and Sendlein will be game time decisions.
The Cardinals can get away with Brown being out again. They have a lot of weapons they can use in his place. A healthy Larry Fitzgerald is a good place to start. He injured his ankle towards the end of the game against the Cleveland Browns. However he practiced in full all week and is probable.
Shipley was a free agent brought in initially to fight for the starting center position when Sendlein hadn’t yet re-signed with the Cardinals. They fought in camp for the starting job, one that Sendlein eventually won out. I think you’d hear a lot of Cardinals fans say they feel better with Sendlein starting this big one but it also give Shipley the chance to show Cardinals fans what he is all about as well.
