Here we take a look at the Cardinals players you should consider starting this week in fantasy football.

The Arizona Cardinals are back at home against the Cincinnati Bengals who are coming off of a short week in a loss against the Texans on Monday Night Football. The Bengals bring a staunch defense to the desert and so it is somewhat slim pickings on the fantasy side of things. However, there are still some Cardinals who are must starts for your fantasy team. Who are the players that are expected to have good fantasy outputs? Let’s find out!

Carson Palmer, Quarterback

As I’ve said for countless weeks this season, Carson Palmer is no longer you bye week fill in for Peyton Manning, he is your every week starter. Palmer is playing his former team this week and has some extra fuel added to his fire and is expected to have a big fantasy day. Palmer is second in the league with touchdown passes with 23. After a 363 yard and 3 touchdown performance last week against the number 2 ranked Seattle defense, Palmer is in a rhythm and will continue this week. Look for Palmer to throw for 300+ yards and 3 touchdowns again this week against his former team.

Larry Fitzgerald, Wide receiver,

Larry Fitzgerald is having the best year of his career this season, and could possibly have his best game of the season against the Bengals. Cardinals receivers John Brown and Michael Floyd are nursing hamstring injuries. This mostly likely means that you will see a lot of Palmer to Fitzgerald passes. While the Bengals may have a majority of their attention on Larry Fitzgerald, Fitzgerald is just too good of a talent to be limited, especially with the type of year he’s been having. Fitzgerald will have his 8th 80+ yard game this season along with 2 touchdown passes to bring his total on the season to 9 on the season.

Arizona Cardinals, Defense/Special Teams

While this could be a somewhat risky play, and shouldn’t be your first choice for a defense, it could end up being a beneficial move. The Cardinals defense are ranked as the third best defense and are facing a Bengals team who has scored a season low 6 points against T.J. Yates and the Houston Texans. You can expect the Bengals to come out slinging the ball which could bring up some opportunities for the Arizona Cardinals to get some turnovers. While the Cardinals shouldn’t be your go to play for a fantasy defense, it could end up being a high risk high reward move.
