Arizona Cardinals vs Cincinnati Bengals: Inactives
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals announced their inactives for Sunday night
Well for the Arizona Cardinals, they got good news on one receiver for Sunday night’s matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. Another receiver will be shelved for this evening.
Receiver John Brown is active for the Cardinals as he continues to work on his injured hamstring. Unfortunately receiver Michael Floyd was not as lucky and he will sit on Sunday night.
Arizona Cardinals inactives:
WR Michael Floyd
QB Matt Barkley
NT Xavier Williams
CB Robert Nelson Jr.
LB Shaq Riddick
T D.J. Humphries
DT Cory Redding
At least Brown can go on offense. Now, how effective he will be remains to be seen. Remember, he hasn’t caught a pass since the Monday night game against the Baltimore Ravens on October 26th. Floyd will be missed but the offense can overcome the loss.
As for Redding, he left last week’s game early with an injury. That has carried over to this week, so he is out as well.
Cincinnati Bengals inactives:
WR Mario Alford
CB Adam Jones
LB P.J. Dawson
DL Marcus Hardison
DT Pat Sims
DL Margus Hunt
TE C.J. Uzomah
Jones is a huge loss for the Bengals defense. He has been a force in the Bengals secondary all season long. He has just two interceptions this season but has been all over the field very active.
So both sides of the ball are missing big game players but both can overcome their losses on Sunday night. The Cardinals though have more weapons to replace Floyd than the Bengals do to replace Jones. Floyd was just starting to pick it up over the past couple of games in the absence of Brown. Brown will need to reappear with a huge game though on Sunday night. The Cardinals will need someone to produce big plays down the field.
