The Arizona Cardinals face the San Francisco 49ers at 2:05 p.m. in Santa Clara, California
The inactive list was just announced for the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. As far as the Cardinals are concerned there really are no bad surprises. As far as good news, safety Deone Bucannon is listed as active. He was originally listed as questionable for Sunday afternoon.
While Bucannon will play, one player thought to be ready to go isn’t. Guard Jonathan Cooper will miss the game this afternoon.
Arizona Cardinals inactives:
QB Matt Barkley
DT Frostee Rucker
DT Ed Stinson
DT Cory Redding
LB Shaq Riddick
T D.J. Humphries
G Jonathan Cooper
The Cardinals did sign Red Bryant this week to help with personnel on defense. As you see the Cardinals are missing three defensive tackles on Sunday. It’s a tough thing to see but against the 49ers it might be the best week to see the inactive list like that.
As you will also notice, there are no huge offensive players missing either. All receivers appear ready to go. Earlier I mentioned Michael Floyd being ready to go and now it is official, Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown will be playing as well.
San Francisco 49ers inactives:
WR DeAndrew White
RB Carlos Hyde
CB Chris Davis
LB Ray-Ray Armstrong
LB Ahmad Brooks
G Brandon Thomas
OL Ian Silberman
The biggest loss for the Niners here appears to be that of Brooks. That will be a huge gap on their defense this afternoon. Brooks is suffering from a concussion. Running back Carlos Hyde also misses another game, so that could slow down the Niners rushing attack Sunday afternoon.
The motto for this week for the Cardinals should be just get out without further injury. Cardinals were dropping like flies last week in their victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.
