December 20th game will mark the Arizona Cardinals fifth prime time game and third on Sunday Night Football

The Arizona Cardinals Week 15 game at the Philadelphia Eagles has been flexed by the NFL to Sunday Night rather than it’s original, earlier start time.

As the season comes to a close the NFL wants to push higher profile match-ups into prime time for the biggest audiences to see. The Cardinals, who played back to back games on Sunday Night Football in November, also played on Monday Night Football earlier in the season and will play on Thursday Night Football this week against the Minnesota Vikings.

The previously scheduled match-up between the Cincinnati Bengals and the San Francisco 49ers has been moved to 4:25PM EST.

Currently the 5-7 Eagles are right in the thick of it for the NFC East crown now only a half game behind Washington who plays tonight against the Dallas Cowboys, who are only two games out of first, in a divisional tilt on MNF.

The Arizona Cardinals (10-2) currently lead the NFC West by three games and have a two game lead for the 2nd seed in the NFC and a first round bye.
