5. David Johnson 108-yard kickoff return vs. Chicago Bears
Week two. Now David Johnson is giving everyone notice. He’s here, he’s versatile, and he’s dangerous. After a touchdown reception for a score in the previous week against the Saints, Johnson wasted no time introducing himself to the Chicago Bears.
Johnson lead the game off with a franchise-record 108-yard kickoff return for touchdown. It supplanted a long-standing 106-yard return by former Cardinal Roy Green.
Later in the game Johnson had a rushing touchdown, giving him three touchdowns in his first two games as a rookie. He was the first player in NFL history to have a touchdown receiving, rushing, and return in his first two games of his career. It was so special, the Pro Football Hall of Fame came calling and wanted his gloves and ball. The guy was two games into his career and already had a spot in the Hall of Fame for his performance on the field.
