4. Carson Palmer 48-yard pass to John Brown vs. Detroit Lions

The offense took control of this game in the second quarter and lead 28-7 at halftime.  However one play in the second quarter showed us just how much head coach Bruce Arians believes in his offense and quarterback Carson Palmer.

Backed up on their own one-yard line, logic would dictate that you run the ball to get out of your own end zone and avoid a safety and giving the ball back to your opponent.  If we have learned anything with Arians it is things aren’t always going to be logical.  In Bruce we trust though.

Palmer backed up into the end zone and unloaded a beautiful pass down the sideline to John Brown for 48-yards.  It was a perfectly placed ball.  In fact it was so beautiful Brown didn’t have to extend himself.  The ball landed nicely in his arms to where only Brown could catch the pass.  Now, Brown made a great catch over his shoulder looking back but you couldn’t have drawn that play up any better.
