12. Kerwynn Williams 35-yard touchdown run vs. Rams

Next man up.  Kerwynn Williams was the epitome of that back in 2014 when he had to come in and play for an injured Andre Ellington.  He had the team’s only 100-yard game on the ground in 2014.  He was in training camp this season with the Cardinals but failed to crack the 53-man roster.

He spent some time on the practice squad but he was not heard from again until he was needed most.  He was active for the game against the Rams in St. Louis and provided a huge spark as Ellington sat out.  Williams scored on a 35-yard run virtually untouched.  He ended up with 59 yards on just six carries.

Williams will remain on the active roster the rest of the season given the status of Chris Johnson and could be the x-factor when it comes time for the playoffs.  He will be able to give David Johnson and Andre Ellington the rest they need at times.  Every team should be as lucky to have a backup as good as Williams.
