Drew Stanton
Probably the most significant thing Stanton did all season was be a cheerleader on the sidelines. His sideline dance after running back Andre Ellington’s touchdown run against the Seattle Seahawks went viral on video. To this day it still makes me laugh and smile.
Stanton didn’t need to be much more than a cheerleader though in 2015. I doubt we see much different in 2016. I like him in the backup role. He was able to complete games against the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, St. Louis Rams, Green Bay Packers, and Seattle Seahawks. You need guys you can count on, even in garbage time.
He will be back as the backup in 2016. I wouldn’t want him anywhere else. Oh and if he could provide a few more dance moves next season, that would be fantastic. That’s the type of talent you can’t find in many places in the NFL.
In all seriousness though, let’s hope Stanton can again just mop up things in 2016 in games that have gotten away from the opponent. I think that would suit us all just fine.
Next: is this guy the future?
