Sometimes, prospects fall short of their pre-season hype, and in this case, he falls way down to the Cardinals. Now I’m not saying that the Cardinals will get the chance to draft the Sunshine Kid (my nickname for him), but if the Cardinals love him enough as a replacement for Carson, they might trade up considerably for Goff.

There isn’t much on tape that I don’t love about this kid, he places the ball perfectly where it needs to go, either long-range or intermediate. Goff is literally the golden arm of the class, problems lie in his weight, an estimate 210 pounds, which doesn’t suit most quarterbacks well. Quite honestly, he looks like a teenager out there on the field, but with some bulking up, Goff immediately separates himself from the pack.

Another thing that I love about the Sunshine Kid, he isn’t afraid to sling it. Goff is literally the fearless quarterback that the Cardinals would love to groom, and honestly seems to resemble Carson Palmer the most. He goes through his progressions quite quickly, and Goff is the best quarterback with taking a hit to deliver a throw. Stepping up is the name of the game, and Goff is a huge upgrade as a backup quarterback (for now). Don’t worry Sunshine Kid, the quarterback of the future might be in the cards for you. Excuse the puns.
