Cardinals MVP

While Fitzgerald in my eyes was the offensive player of the year, the offense certainly was also fueled by Palmer.  Palmer brought an attitude I had not seen over the first two seasons in Arizona.  He impressed me by working hard to come back from his torn ACL in just seven months.  He returned to action in OTA’s.  Many thought he wouldn’t return until training camp sometime and even then people weren’t sure how he would respond after returning from his second career ACL injury.  He was a leader on the field on Sunday’s and off the field in the community.  I give the MVP to Palmer. – Scott

Carson Palmer. “Wait,” you say, “you just said that Larry Fitzgerald was the Offensive Player of the Year, how is he not MVP also?” Simple, while the team could survive with Larry Fitzgerald in the slot, it couldn’t survive without Carson Palmer as we saw last year. And while the NFC Championship game, and to a degree the Divisional Game, were not his high points this season, Palmer was consistent, able to put the ball where it needed to be, and he propelled the team to 13 wins. No other quarterback has ever done that, and while some games were won by the defense, it doesn’t really matter. Without Palmer this was a seven win team with luck on their side. With Palmer the team has a chance to go deep into the playoffs every season. Look at the way he made rookies like David Johnson and J.J. Nelson shine in the passing game. Drew Stanton or Matt Barkley are not performing that way in any game. The award is most valuable player, that’s the definition of a top-tier quarterback, that’s Carson Palmer. Erich

Once again, Carson Palmer is bestowed with this honor. The Cardinals’ record with Palmer under center: 30-10. The Cardinals’ record without Palmer center: 5-5. The numbers alone explain why the Palmer is the Cardinals’ MVP. Carson Palmer is the best quarterback the Cardinals have had since Kurt Warner, and has given the team stability at a position that hasn’t been productive for more seasons than not. Palmer has also made several players on the team better, both offensively and defensively. Carson Palmer is a complete team player and both his stats and his character speaks volumes about why he is the Cardinals MVP for this season. Vijay

Sorry Carson Palmer, Tyrann Mathieu is the MVP in my opinion. Also sorry to Chris Johnson, but really does anyone else deserve more credability then the Honey Badger? He gave the Cardinals a real edge, he had 89 tackles, 1 sack, a forced fumble, and a very eager 5 interceptions. No way he isn’t my MVP. – Johnathan
