Cardale Jones, Quarterback, Ohio State

Moving on from what Arizona can do with their first round pick, there is strong speculation that the team will take a quarterback in the later rounds to compete with Matt Barkley for the third QB spot. The signal caller that’s the best fit for this team is 2015 National Champion, Cardale Jones. Jones is the exactly the type of quarterback Bruce Arians wants running his offense. Jones is big 6’5″ 249 pounds, and posses a cannon of an arm, once throwing the ball 74 yards from the end zone.

Cardale Jones completed 62.5% of his passes in his 10 games as a starter this past season, throwing for 1460 yards, 8 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. The case against Jones is his lack of production as a full time starter, with Ohio State playing close games against teams they should’ve beaten as the #1 team in the nation. However, with a quarterback guru like Bruce Arians, Cardale Jones could be the player under center in the post-Palmer era. Jones is projected as a second day draft pick, and could be a viable option should the Cardinals choose to draft a quarterback.
