A troublemaker, or a misunderstood kid who is making major mistakes all along the way. The media harps on the big mistakes that the former Texas A&M Aggie has done. Johnny Football came into the league in 2014 as a spectacle, a big-ticket prize for the ailing Cleveland Browns, and a possible franchise centerpiece for a franchise looking for stability at the position. He blew the whole college football scene on fire, with so many different ways to being a winner.
Now, Johnny Manziel seems to be a very unspectacular puzzle piece that seems destined to become the next draft bust in a long line of draft busts. The hype when he came from A&M was unreasonable, and maybe the possibility of a high pressure situation got to him. No one should make the mistake of making excuses for the young man who seems to have a santas wishlist of problems. Sad, really, but it’s a realization that he needs to move on. I will discuss the Pros and Cons of him coming to Arizona (or possibly any team). It’s predetermined that he is officially out of Cleveland, and nothing is official.
But before people start asking if the Cardinals would be interested in Manziel, this made the most sense to me. With revolving door of quarterbacks that seem to go through the NFL, the Cardinals might be in the market for a quarterback (determined on whether the Cardinals really believe in Matt Barkley or if they sign Drew Stanton long-term). I really thought about it, and I made a pros and cons sheet of whether the Cardinals should even be interested in Manziel, let me go ahead and share a secret with the reader…I love Manziel. Does that mean he comes to the Cardinals? We will have to see.
