Tahir Whitehead, OLB

Whitehead would be a great depth guy at linebacker for the Cardinals. He also has just four years in the NFL so far with the Detroit Lions. So a young linebacker would also fit the Cardinals well.

He had 51 tackles in 2015, down from 86 in 2014. Whitehead did register two sacks and an interception in the 2015 season however. The two sacks were the first of his career.

WalterFootball.com has Whitehead listed as the third best outside linebacker in free agency. There are some really good players right behind Whitehead on the list but Whitehead gives the Cardinals the youth they are looking for. With as much a revolving door the linebacking core has been for the Cardinals the last few seasons, it is important they get linebackers who aren’t nearing retirement age.
