The Arizona Cardinals technically have 16 free agents but long snapper Mike Leach retired

When you need to upgrade or add depth at several positions like the Arizona Cardinals do and you have 15 of your own free agents to make decisions on, things are about to change.  Some guys will be tough decisions some not so tough.  Here are the 15 players the Cardinals need to decide to keep or let loose once free agency starts.

Jason Babin, DE/LB

While on paper it looked like a good idea to add Babin when Alex Okafor went down, in reality Babin really wasn’t ready to step onto an NFL field so fast.  He was active for the playoff game against the Green Bay Packers but was inactive in the NFC Championship Game against the Carolina Panthers.

Babin was with the Baltimore Ravens for just under a month and then was released in mid-October.  He then sat without a job for roughly three months before the Cardinals came calling.  I would have to think since the Cardinals did not have much invested with him to begin with, he won’t return to the Cardinals next season.

Decision: Drop him
