Chris Johnson

I will admit, I wasn’t that big on the Chris Johnson signing in preseason.  I felt like the Cardinals could get the job done with Andre Ellington and David Johnson.  Oh boy. I think I can speak for a lot of you when I say it was a God send the Cardinals had the foresight to sign Johnson when they did.

Ellington went down in week one, again.  David Johnson played great the first couple of weeks into his rookie career, but had fumble issues.  Chris Johnson though, pretended to turn back the clock.

Although he played in just 11 games due to injury, he still rushed for 814 yards and three touchdowns.  He averaged 4.2-yards-per-carry in 2015.  The Cardinals were talking contract extension before he went down with his injury in November.  At this point it will be interesting to see what they decide on Johnson going forward.
