Arizona Cardinals to workout Ohio State’s Cardale Jones

According to quarterback Cardale Jones, he is scheduled to workout for the Arizona Cardinals
There isn’t much kept secret for too long these days. Quarterback Cardale Jones out of Ohio State told Sirius XM NFL Radio on Monday that he would be working out for the Arizona Cardinals. He also plans on meeting with the Buffalo Bills.
There have been some out there who think the Cardinals going after Jones would be a good idea given his arm and a possible fit to the system Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has in place. Some fans like the idea of a Jones to Arizona selection come draft time.
However there are those in the other camp of thought that thinks this is not a good idea. Some feel like the Cardinals have been through this situation before.
I could go either way on it. There are certainly worse options out there. I do think taking him at 29 is a bit of a stretch given his college experience. However I think he’d be gone by 92 in the second round because someone will take a chance on his mobility skills and his arm.
I do believe he is better than Logan Thomas. However I also believe there are better options like a Paxton Lynch. Remember, the Cardinals are not desperate for a quarterback. That only comes into play if they don’t have Palmer’s replacement within the next two years.
