What does this have to do with MarQuez? Well, nothing really. I don’t see MarQuez as a starter, but rather a young guy with potential. He came out early, surprisingly, and we all questioned why. After watching a few games, I saw the acrobatic receiver make some pretty nice catches, kind of makes you wonder.

Well, I thought to myself, this means that the Cardinals get another developmental piece (like D.J. Humphries), while guys like Larry, John Brown, Jaron, and J.J. Nelson elevate the team. One day, MarQuez will be good. A lot of pages have MarQuez as an undrafted free agent (CBS included), but I think he could be a 4th-5th round prospect. He had a lot of injury ‘problems’ in the last couple of years, but I think the Cardinals could look past that for a former top-10 receiver.

In the previous few slide, the Cardinals addressed a trade where we saw the potential number one receiver, Michael Floyd, leave. I want to go into detail on maybe why it could be a good idea for the Cardinals to part ways with Michael Floyd, maybe now, or maybe in free agency next year. The number one reason to me is that Larry Fitzgerald is still able to play this year, that is an accomplishment all in it’s own.

No matter how many fans think the Cardinals are going to willingly let Larry retire or sign with another team, it’s highly unlikely. The Cardinals could see Larry, who’s possibly in the best shape when he went to the pro bowl, play for another 3-4 years. That’s right folks, Larry might not retire. What does that have to do with Michael Floyd? Well, do you think Michael wants to play second fiddle to Larry or the young and emerging John Brown? Nope. Even Jaron Brown has a better chance of emerging in Arizona next year then Michael.
