The Arizona Cardinals will induct former receiver Roy Green into the Ring of Honor on October 2nd

The Arizona Cardinals have added 15 players and will make 16 this season to their Ring of Honor at University of Phoenix Stadium.  Former Roy Green enters the exclusive club on October 2nd.

That begs the question though, who is still missing from the club?  The Cardinals do not have the great huge history that other teams do.

There are those players though that have made huge contributions to the successes the Cardinals have seen in the past.  Not being a Pro Football Hall of Famer does not necessarily mean exclusion from the club.

The last several who entered the Ring of Honor have all been well deserving.  Aeneas Williams, Kurt Warner, Adrian Wilson to name a few.  Wilson was inducted last season.

Think about all the players over the years that have made contributions, huge contributions.  Sure the Cardinals have had a lot of losing seasons.  However they have had some very good players along the way.

The Cardinals certainly have a few current players who will be in the Ring of Honor someday.  Guys like Larry Fitzgerald, Carson Palmer, Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, David Johnson, they all are headed there in the future.

Now you don’t want to go an add every player that made some kind of contribution.  That list is long.  However there are players that stand out amongst the crowd.

Here are five former Cardinals that should be considered for the Ring of Honor in the future.  If you agree or disagree, please let us know.
