The Arizona Cardinals have concluded mini-camp with next stop training camp in Glendale

We continue our annual look at player by player from A to Z on the current Arizona Cardinals roster as we are now entering the final stages of the offseason before the start of training camp. The next stop is training camp on July 28th.

In this profile we look at cornerback Cariel Brooks.  He returns for another shot at making the regular season roster for the Cardinals.

2015: His training camp and preseason was promising last season.  He returned an 81-yard Derek Carr interception for a touchdown in their preseason victory over the Oakland Raiders.

For awhile it appeared he would be in the mix for the final 53-man roster.  He did spend time on the practice squad and appeared in three games last season for the Cardinals.

2016 outlook: This could get interesting.  The Cardinals are still looking for help with their cornerback depth and haven’t cemented Justin Bethel’s name as a starter yet.  It is feasible that Brooks could push for a possible starting spot.

First though, Brooks is going to need to make the team.  The Cardinals may not be done adding to their roster at the corner position.  It will be important for Brooks to have another near flawless camp and preseason to make the squad.

He also may need to go through Harlan Miller.  Miller was a draft pick out of Southeastern Louisiana in the 2016 NFL Draft.  The Cardinals are high on him.  It should make for one of the more interesting positions to watch in camp this year.
