The Arizona Cardinals are less than three weeks away from opening training camp in Glendale

We continue our annual look at player by player from A to Z on the current Arizona Cardinals roster as we are now entering the final stages of the offseason before the start of training camp. The next stop is training camp on July 28th.

In this profile we look at tackle Clay Debord.  He is an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Washington University.

2015: Debord was a full time starter at Eastern Washington.  He started all four years there.

2016: Debord is smart, athletic and has good agility.  Critics warn about his footwork and mechanics, which essentially caused him to be a projected seventh-rounder or an undrafted free agent.

He will likely have to fight hard to make the 53-man roster but if he performs well he could get a chance on the practice roster depending on how things play out.  He once told a reporter that it wouldn’t be the end of the world if he didn’t make it in football. He was a late bloomer to football until he caught the eyes of coaches.

If he makes the team I guarantee he will have a slightly different take.  Hopefully he cares enough to come into camp and give the Cardinals something to be impressed about.  The Cardinals could use all the depth they need on the offensive line.
