The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on Thursday July 28th in Glendale
The Arizona Cardinals for the most part see a roster that strikingly resembles what it looked like back in January when the team walked off the field with a loss to the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship Game.
Yes, there are some changes. No team can evolve without a little change. With the Cardinals though there wasn’t a lot to change. There will be some position battles to watch in camp, some having to do with established players on the roster, others with newcomers.
Here I am going to look at the top five additions to the 2016 roster. The Cardinals made a big splash in free agency. They also drafted well. Oh, and they also made one very huge trade with the New England Patriots.
The Cardinals may not be done making additions however this is where they stand just five days before their first practice of 2016. The Cardinals likely are still looking for another cornerback to bring in. Rumor is that Chris Culliver will be in this week for a tryout. Cornerback is going to be a closely watched position. One guy who didn’t make this list, Tyvon Branch, could surprise and outplay any of the five guys who did make this list.
The Cardinals may also continue to look for offensive line help if their depth now doesn’t pan out early on in camp. Then there are the inevitable injuries. For now, this is the best of what has been added to date though.
