The month of October will make or break the Arizona Cardinals’ season.

The Cardinals schedule has been out for quite some time now, and there are many games fans should be looking forward to. From the season opener vs the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football to their first match up against the newly relocated Los Angeles Rams.

That first game against Los Angeles on October 2nd kick starts the toughest stretch of games for Arizona. In the month of October, the Cardinals will play five teams with a combined win loss record of 47-33 from last season. Three of these games will be televised nationally.

After the aforementioned meeting with the Rams, the Cardinals will have a short week when they will travel to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football. On paper, the Rams at home and the 49ers on the road are two checks in the win column. However, the Rams upset the Cardinals when they visited Glendale last season, and Arizona has always had trouble playing in San Francisco.

After their visit to the Bay Area, the Cardinals will have 10 days to prepare for the New York Jets, coached by former Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, who are coming to the desert for a match up on Monday Night Football.

The Jets missed the playoffs last season on a tie breaker, and Bowles will make sure to have his team ready in hopes of getting a win over his former team. With the emotion surrounding this game, the Cardinals could have a tough time on their hands.
