Cariel Brooks, CB

Brooks was a guy last year in training camp that impressed.  While his name hasn’t been tossed around as much this preseason so far, Brooks has the talent to stick around a little longer.

The Cardinals have safeties than can jump up into the corner slot, so it is not so far-fetched the Cardinals may only keep three cornerbacks.  Brooks is a likely cut by the time the preseason is over but he could do well enough to earn a job elsewhere.

A familiar tune in this year’s Cardinals camp, “a victim of numbers”, Brooks falls into this category. There just aren’t enough spots.  It is doubtful he can do enough to be wearing a Cardinals uniform this season you just never know what the coaches are thinking.

If Brooks can’t cling on to another team, don’t be surprised if the Cardinals re-sign him at some point as a injury replacement, if it comes down to that.
