Amir Carlisle, WR

An undrafted free-agent out of Notre Dame, Carlisle will also likely be a victim of a numbers game, he could find himself on the Cardinals practice squad.  The Cardinals are likely to keep no more than six receivers.  He’s fifth on the WR1 depth chart.

Carlisle is still trying to compete against guys like Chris Hubert, Jaxon Shipley, and Brittan Golden for a spot.  This far into camp, I can’t see him doing enough to jump all of those guys.

However, Carlisle playing well on Sunday and next Thursday could secure himself a spot on the practice squad.  He could also end up on another roster.  Carlisle has talent.  Unfortunately the Cardinals have at least seven receivers in front of him with more.

It would be nice to see the Cardinals give him some more targets on Sunday afternoon in Houston. Shipley has had trouble holding on to the ball this preseason.
