Elijhaa Penny, RB

Let’s make this clear, Penny will not make the regular season roster for the Cardinals.  He is going to be strictly playing for a practice squad spot or playing for a spot with someone else.

The Cardinals top four backs are set with David Johnson, Chris Johnson, Andre Ellington, and Stepfan Taylor.  Then there is Kerwynn Williams, who easily could be a starter or backup for many teams.  The mountain is too high for Penny to climb in Arizona.

However by playing well on Sunday, Penny could latch on to another team.  He should get his chance in the second half of Sunday’s game against Houston.  Of the five players listed in this piece, he is the best candidate to find himself on the first cut-down list to 75 players on Tuesday.
