The Arizona Cardinals defeated the San Francisco 49ers 33-21 on Thursday night

The Arizona Cardinals started slow early but in the end it didn’t matter.  The scoreboard said the Cardinals were winners for the first time since week two.

Without quarterback Carson Palmer, tight end Darren Fells, defensive tackle Ed Stinson, the Cardinals had to change their game plan a little bit.  Even though quarterback Drew Stanton threw the ball 28 times, the Cardinals ran the ball 37 times.

The Cardinals did suffer a couple of more injuries Thursday night.  Right guard Mike Iupati and left guard Evan Mathis both left the game.  From the sounds of the postgame show, the injuries don’t sound good.

Stanton did what he needed to do.  He didn’t turn the ball over.  Zero interceptions for him on Thursday night.  The Cardinals were plus three in the turnover battle.  You will win more times than not when that happens.
