The ugly

Just when you thought the Cardinals would be able to escape a rough and tough game injury-free, receiver Jaron Brown gets injured late in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Drew Stanton had come in and had his first pass tipped at the line but Brown went up and grabbed it for a first down.  However he came down awkwardly.  He was holding his leg and had to be helped off of the field.

The Cardinals really need Brown and it would be a tough loss if he is out for any extended period of time.  There was no official word on his status after the game.  We will likely hear more on Tuesday.

If the Cardinals are to make a run at the division and the playoffs, they need to remain healthy.  If Brown does happen to be out for an extended time, then the Cardinals do have others who can step up.  Look for Brittan Golden and J.J. Nelson fill the void if Brown ends up missing time.
