Arizona Cardinals vs New York Jets: Inactives
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals and the New York Jets have announced their inactive players
If your last name is Williams, then you are likely not playing for the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets. The Arizona Cardinals inactive player list includes three players with the last name.
Starting with cornerback Brandon Williams, who will sit and watch another one from the sidelines. The rookie struggled early on in the season in favor of Marcus Cooper, who has played very well in his place.
Also inactive is defensive tackles Xavier Williams and running back Kerwynn Williams. Kerwynn was just re-signed last week.
As for the other Cardinals inactives, they include defensive tackles Olsen Pierre and Ed Stinson. Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche will be active Monday night. That’s a great sign that he is progressing well in the eyes of head coach Bruce Arians.
Tight end Hakeem Valles and guard Mike Iupati round out the inactives for the Cardinals. Iupati was injured against the San Francisco 49ers 10 days ago. He may miss a few weeks but is not out for the season.

As for the Jets, their inactive list includes a couple of quarterbacks. Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty are both inactive on Monday night.
Also inactive on Monday night for the Jets are tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, cornerback Nick Marshall, tackle Brandon Shell, and receiver Jeremy Butler.
However the biggest absence will be linebacker David Harris. His absence from the game will end his 121-consecutive games played streak.
What this also means is cornerback Darrelle Revis is active. Revis Island will be alive and well on Monday night. It will be interesting to see how much the Cardinals test him.
Not on the inactive list but recently placed on injured reserve, Jets receiver Eric Decker will be missing his first game of the season as it came to en early end last week.
