The Arizona Cardinals have just four victories this season, a win on Sunday is needed
Forget the playoffs. The Arizona Cardinals just need to get back to winning some football games. With five games remaining in the 2016 season, the Cardinals can go a long way with fans by showing up in December.
The Cardinals have just one victory in their last five games. That came against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers account for two of the Cardinals four victories this season.
With the Washington Redskins coming in this Sunday, the Cardinals will have their hands full with a team trying to make the playoffs themselves. They are two games up on the Cardinals for the final playoff spot at 6-4-1 while the Cardinals sit at 4-6-1.
Some believe if the Cardinals win, they are still in the thick of things. Anything can happen in December. This is true but not realistic.

Before last week’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons, that was the last realistic chance the Cardinals had in many individual’s eyes. Some even thought it was over after losing to the Minnesota Vikings a couple of weeks ago.
This much is true, if the Cardinals win, they are just one game behind the Redskins. However there are five other teams between them. One of them is the New Orleans Saints, who the Cardinals will play at home on December 18th. The other is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who the Cardinals beat back in September.
This week though just get back to winning. If something good comes of it all, great. If the Cardinals win out and still miss the playoffs, that’s very realistic at this point.
The Cardinals roster will look a lot different in 2017 but going out with victories in 2016 will show the front office that some players may be worth spending the money on in keeping for next season.
