A Tecmo Bowl-style video was created with the highlights from the Arizona Cardinals 34-31 victory over the Seattle Seahawks

What happens when you have the ability to provide highlights of the Arizona Cardinals in a different way?  You create a Tecmo Bowl-style highlight reel with play by play from Kevin Burkhardt.

The NFL on Fox play-by-play man’s voice can be heard in the background of the Tecmo-Bowl highlights from the win in Seattle this past Saturday.  All the big plays are hit.

This video was created by Kyle Mac (@KyleMcVideo), who is not affiliated with the Tecmobowlers who are also famous for creating Tecmo Bowl-style NFL videos.  Tecmo Bowl, for those not in the know, was the 90’s version of Madden and it was lovely.  Tecmo Bowl was recently re-released as part of the new Mini Nintendo Entertainment System that Sony released back in November.

As you can see, the result in this video is just as glorious as the real thing.  Also included was the unfortunate injury to Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett.  Lockett broke his tibia and fibula on a fantastic catch at the Cardinals one-yard line.

For all of his trouble, you really hated seeing Lockett not get the score, even as a Cardinals fan.  He had surgery Saturday night and should be ready to go by training camp in August.

As for the video, it is yet another chance to bask in the glory of the Cardinals third victory in Seattle in the past four seasons.  The only loss was a Drew Stanton start in November 2014, one week after starting quarterback Carson Palmer tore his ACL.

This doesn’t completely fill the void of a disappointing season for Cardinals fans but at the very least we are getting entertained as we try to make it to the finish line this Sunday.  The Cardinals end their season on New Year’s Day at the Los Angeles Rams.
